Descriptions Of Beginning Classes
Trinity’s program centers on the empowerment of each child, with lessons focused on self-confidence and teamwork. Instructors use a distinct, noncompetitive teaching method that places children on a “journey” through Ireland, teaching the beauty of the dance form as well as cultural and life lessons along the way.
 
New Students Ages 4-5 (River Program) begin their journey in River Shannon.  This unique program focuses on the development of the whole child, concentrating on coordination, balance, rhythm and strength.  These young dancers will learn steps of Irish Dance.  Classes are held once  week for 45 minutes.  Our session runs from September through the end of June.  We offer a family discount for the 3rd child. (No previous dance experience required)
 
New Students Ages 6-12 (County Program) begin their journey in County Cork.  While in County Cork they are introduced to dances such as the ‘Jig’ and ‘Reel’ while concentrating on proper posture, foot placement, timing and stage presence.  Through a series of carefully designed stretching and dance exercises, the students gain confidence and poise very quickly.  Classes meet once a week for one hour. The session typically runs from September through the end of June in the Chicago area, and through August in Wisconsin.  We offer a family discount for the 3rd child. (No previous dance experience required)
           
In addition to their weekly class, both River and County Dancers are invited to participate in extra-curricular activities throughout the year, such as  St. Patrick’s Day Parades, Spring Performances, Milwaukee Irish Fest, and Chicago Summer Performance.

From I-94: Exit Kenosha County Highway 50, and go east into Kenosha. There is a stop light at the intersection of 75th Street (Hwy 50) and 39th Avenue where Hwy. 50 veers to the left - continue straight on 75th Street. At Third Avenue, turn left, and go north. Continue going north on Third Avenue to 6501 Third Avenue, and turn toward Lake Michigan into the main entrance.  It is the 1st building when you pull in to the parking lot.  While dancers are in class in the gym upstairs, parents can wait in the big hallway downstairs.   

MADISON

From 794E: Head towards the Lakefront.  Exit Plankinton Ave. and continue straight, past the ramp lights.   Just beyond the exit ramp is Water St.  Turn Right on Water.  Continue on Water for 2 stoplights to Erie.  Turn Left on Erie.  Menomonee runs into Erie on an angle, so stay to the left on Erie in order to join Menomonee.  Our building is in back of the brown brick (one story) EM Instruments Building on the left…exactly where Menomonee meets Erie.  Note:  If you cross Broadway, you’ve gone too far.  PLEASE do not park or pull into the triangle-shaped parking lot adjacent to the building.  This presents a safety concern for dancers entering and exiting the building. There is street parking and additional parking on the EAST side of the lot located next to the MIAD building.


OCONOMOWOC
